The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute is proud to support the Miles for Melanoma 5K walk again this year. The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) is the largest independent organization devoted to melanoma. Committed to the support of medical research in finding effective treatments and eventually a cure for melanoma, the MRF also educates patients and physicians about prevention, diagnosis and the treatment of melanoma. The MRF is an active advocate for the melanoma community, helping to raise awareness of the this disease and the need for a cure.
Runners and walkers will help raise critical funding to fuel new treatments, education and advocacy for melanoma, while exploring some of the most iconic movie sets in history, including scenes from Jaws, Back to the Future and War of the Worlds. The Second Annual Miles for Melanoma at Universal Studios 5K Run/Walk promises to be a lot of fun while also raising awareness of melanoma with on-site skin checks, sunscreen samples and more.
